Caroline Ismay Keegan

Caroline Keegan is a Senior Associate Attorney in Kurzman Eisenberg Corbin & Lever LLP’s Corporate, Art Law and Real Estate practice groups. Ms. Keegan has broad experience in commercial transactions and advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, compliance, and employment law. She represents startups to large public companies, structuring and negotiating complex deals to support growth and strategic goals. Her work includes representing acquirers and sellers in asset, stock, and merger transactions, and guiding companies through formation, maintenance, conversion, dissolution, financings, and joint ventures. She prepares operating and shareholder agreements and helps clients address governance and regulatory challenges. As a member of the Real Estate group, Ms. Keegan counsels developers, investors, owners, landlords, tenants, and financial institutions in commercial, residential, and mixed-use property transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, leasing, and development projects. Ms. Keegan also has extensive Art Law experience, advising dealers, collectors, galleries, museums, non-profits, and artists in various creative fields. She counsels clients on art transactions, intellectual property, exhibitions, licensing, lending, and consignments. She regularly negotiates purchase and sale agreements, guaranteed bids, and settlement agreements involving IP infringement and authenticity disputes. She serves on the Board of Directors of A-HOME (Apropos Housing Opportunities & Management Enterprises, Inc.) and is a member of the Art Lawyers Association. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Keegan worked with the Museum of Modern Art, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Brooklyn Museum, Calder Foundation, and Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts.
