John Reagan

John J. Reagan embarked on his legal journey post-college while working full-time as a Senior Claims Adjuster for a national insurance company. Concurrently, he attended evening law school, earning his degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1996. After successfully passing the Ohio Bar exam later that year, John delved into his legal career, focusing on defending national insurance companies, product manufacturers, and trucking companies against personal injury, product liability, and wrongful death claims. Before joining Kisling, Nestico & Redick, he served as a shareholder at Reminger Co., LPA, one of Ohio's largest regional defense firms, where he spent over a decade. During this time, John acted as lead trial counsel in numerous cases, defending consumer claims and addressing catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death claims arising from various incidents. While still representing insurance companies, John's perspective shifted when a colleague approached him to lead the trial for a client seriously injured in a motorcycle accident. Facing denial and dispute from the client's insurance company, John took the case to trial and secured a six-figure jury verdict, surpassing the policy limits. Subsequently, he pursued a separate lawsuit against the same insurance company, obtaining substantial additional damages for their bad faith in handling the claim. This experience marked a turning point for John, prompting him to expand his practice to assist individuals facing unforeseen accidents. Joining KNR in 2010, John now exclusively focuses on litigating personal injury, wrongful death, insurance coverage, bad faith, and class-action claims. His satisfaction comes from helping consumers, friends, and neighbors in need of experienced legal representation following accidents. Many of his cases result from referrals, showcasing John's unique knowledge and perspective, ensuring optimal results for the firm's clients.
