Mr. Kimball G Orwoll

I am a Rochester native with over 45 years of experience practicing family law in the Olmsted County and Southeast Minnesota area. I was admitted to practice in 1980. In July of 2025, I closed my solo practice and became of counsel with The Klampe Law Firm. Throughout my career, I represented clients across all counties in Minnesota’s Third Judicial District, as well as in Goodhue, Blue Earth, and Faribault counties within the First and Fifth Judicial Districts. I also handled cases in other judicial districts across Minnesota. I graduated from St. Olaf College in 1976 and earned my law degree from what is now Hamline Mitchell School of Law in 1980. Advocating for the best interests of children has been a significant focus of my work. I served as a volunteer Guardian Ad Litem and provided legal counsel for the former Olmsted County Guardian Ad Litem program. Additionally, I was a member of Olmsted County’s Children’s Justice Initiative Team, a collaborative effort between the Minnesota Supreme Court and the Minnesota Department of Human Services to improve child protection case outcomes in all 87 counties. While I have extensive motion and trial experience, I believe alternative dispute resolution (ADR) offers both parties the chance to achieve a positive outcome through cooperation and mutual respect, while avoiding the financial and emotional strain of litigation. I have worked as an Early Neutral Evaluator and have guided clients through mediation, arbitration, Social and Financial Early Neutral Evaluations (SENE/FENE), and other ADR methods.
