David Paavola

David's legal practice is devoted exclusively to litigation. Litigation is a broad term, but it generally refers to any type of legal dispute resolution process that may eventually require resolution through the court system. While there are many areas of litigation, David primarily focuses on legal disputes: (1) arising out of eminent domain and condemnation (government taking a private landowner's property); (2) business disputes, such as contract or lease disputes, partnership breakups, or disputes with governmental bodies; and (3) construction, both plaintiff and defendants, construction defects, breach contract, and professional negligence of design professionals. David has trial court experience filing and defending lawsuits in state and federal courts. He also has experience drafting appeals in state and federal court. It is this combination of trial and appellate experience on both the plaintiff and defendant side of cases that makes his practice both challenging and unique. Prior to becoming an attorney, David used his business degree working for seven years in the banking and finance industry, primarily as an analyst. His prior experience analyzing businesses gives him a unique perspective on the financial implications of litigation and an ability to quickly understand his business clients' needs.
