I focus my practice on intellectual property and environmental regulatory matters, while also handling cases related to energy, administrative law, and utility regulation. As a registered Patent Attorney authorized to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, I have filed both provisional and non-provisional patent applications. My work includes drafting and negotiating licensing agreements and assignments for trade secrets, patents, trademarks, and other intellectual property concerns. Additionally, I assist clients with intellectual property protection, transactions, and litigation matters. My previous experience includes engaging with state and federal agencies in environmental regulatory proceedings. This involved drafting nine-factor analyses in response to compliance orders/notices of potential penalties and responding to requests for information under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act. I have also represented clients before the Louisiana Public Service Commission in various matters, including the approval of power supply contracts, filing formula rate plans and tariffs, seeking interim rate increases, and commenting in rule-making dockets. Furthermore, I have counseled state agencies and private clients on compliance with federal financial laws and regulations. This includes advising on securities laws and regulations related to raising capital; advising on compliance with U.S. Treasury regulations regarding venture capital, seed capital, lending, and related financial programs; drafting documents for raising capital including operating agreements, private placement memoranda, subscription agreements, and joinder agreements; and litigating securities fraud claims on behalf of private clients.
