Diana-Marie Laventure

I am a partner focusing my practice on employment litigation, general liability, and matters involving skilled nursing, assisted living, home care, and hospice care. I represent a range of clients, including employers, resorts, education boards, townships, medical professionals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities, handling proceedings across New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Before joining KBR, I served as an assistant prosecutor at the Union County Prosecutor’s Office, where I gained significant trial experience. I also had the privilege of clerking for the Honorable Michael L. Ravin, J.S.C., at the Essex County Superior Court. I am actively involved in the legal community and hold leadership roles on several committees and boards. I serve on the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Diversity Committee and Minorities in the Profession Board, the Garden State Bar Association’s Board of Directors, and the American Bar Association Litigation Section’s Women’s Conference Committee. In addition to my legal practice, I am an experienced CLE educator. I have presented for bar associations, CLE providers, and professional organizations on topics such as attorney well-being, best practices for young lawyers, employment law, artificial intelligence, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. Some of my recent presentations include a discussion on the CROWN Act in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands and its implications for schools and employers, as well as a presentation addressing artificial intelligence, algorithmic bias, and employment law.
