About
Kassie’s own experience with her family’s divorce at a young age has shaped her level-headed and compassionate approach to family law. She draws on her life experience to be a fierce, empathetic, and loyal advocate for her clients, both in and out of the courtroom. Kassie graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and a minor in Spanish. She then worked as a legal assistant and paralegal for nearly 15 years. In 2017, Kassie began pursuing her lifelong goal of becoming an attorney by enrolling at UNT Dallas College of Law. While working full-time at a civil litigation firm and attending night classes, she consistently made the Dean's List, held leadership roles, and was an active member of the Board of Advocates and Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society. She also completed an externship with Lambda Legal, focusing on nationwide impact litigation for LGBTQ+ civil rights. Kassie graduated cum laude from law school. As an attorney, Kassie is passionate about representing same-sex spouses and parents in LGBTQ+ family law matters, most notably including adoptions. She also focuses her practice on complex marital property issues, including closely held businesses, complex asset division, and real estate. In addition, Kassie assists clients in need of asset protection through premarital and post-marital agreements. She has contributed to briefing appellate issues for various Texas courts of appeal and the Supreme Court of Texas. Kassie has additionally been recognized by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star for 2024 and 2025. Kassie lives in Dallas, Texas, with her wife, and rescue pup. In her free time, she enjoys concerts, traveling, camping, hiking, and cheering on her favorite sports teams.
