Kari Hanratty

Kari J. Hanratty, Esq. was admitted to the State Bar of Nevada in 2001 with a zeal and passionate dedication for family law. Kari began her career clerking for the Honorable Family Court Judge Gloria S. O’Malley. Judge O’Malley, now retired, was an intricate part of Kari’s legal career and was instrumental in learning how to navigate the significant issues involved in difficult divorce and custody cases within the Nevada Family Court system. As Judge O’Malley’s law clerk, Kari developed a strong understanding of the inner workings of Nevada’s Family Court system and obtained invaluable insight into representing clients through the difficult process of divorce and child custody matters. After serving Judge O’Malley for over a year, Kari practiced law with a small but prestigious boutique family law firm in Clark County, Nevada. During her four (4) years at this boutique small family law firm, Kari dedicated and earned a fantastic reputation for successfully obtaining results for her clients in divorce and child custody cases and earned the respect by the Family Court Bench for her work ethic, respected positions, and guiding her clients through their divorces and child custody matters in a caring, efficient, and dignified manner. Following working for this boutique family law firm, Kari opened her own firm with the premise that “Family is First” and an ongoing belief that every client deserves a dedicated, knowledgeable and respectable attorney to diligently and in a respected way advocate for their needs. Kari has extensive experience in all aspects of divorce, child custody, adoptions and relocation matters including wide ranging experience in family law motion practice, trials and significant complex large asset litigation matters. For the past sixteen years, Kari has successfully advocated for her clients and diligently worked to minimize the cost of litigation.
