James Roswold

James Roswold is a personal injury attorney serving injured people throughout Kansas and Missouri. He is the founder of Kansas City Accident Injury Attorneys, which has been recognized as the #1 personal injury firm in Missouri by Leaders in Law. James’s professional honors include the Best in Law Award (2025), recognition from The National Trial Lawyers Top 100, membership in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, and honors from Missouri Lawyers Weekly. He has practiced law since 1990. James’s commitment to injury victims is personal. As a child, he witnessed his older brother suffer a life-changing injury caused by medical malpractice. Years of surgeries, casts, braces, and emotional hardship followed. James also observed the legal case that resulted, listening as his parents discussed the medical mistakes involved and the legal process. When the case ended in a mistrial and a settlement for only a fraction of its true value, James saw firsthand how much the outcome of an injury case can depend on the quality of legal representation. James earned his undergraduate degree magna cum laude from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management and graduated with distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law. He began his career at a defense litigation firm before shifting his focus entirely to representing injured people in 1993. In 2013, he founded Kansas City Accident Injury Attorneys and the Roswold Foundation for Injured Children. James represents clients throughout Kansas and Missouri, with offices in downtown Kansas City, Missouri; Overland Park, Kansas; Lee’s Summit, Missouri; and Parkville, Missouri. As the owner of his firm, he provides hands-on, personalized representation and remains directly involved in the cases he handles.
