Joseph Pluta

Joseph Pluta is a seasoned attorney specializing in Workers’ Compensation law, with additional experience in Social Security Disability and Personal Injury cases. Born and raised in Trenton, New Jersey, Mr. Pluta completed his undergraduate degree at Brown University in 1971 and earned his law degree from the University of San Diego in 1978. That same year, he was admitted to the California Bar and has since gained admission to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of California. For over 46 years, Mr. Pluta has been dedicated to advocating for injured workers. He is a certified specialist in Workers’ Compensation law by The State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization—an honor held by only a few attorneys in the Bakersfield area. Throughout his career, he has helped more than 5,000 injured workers secure Workers' Compensation benefits, ensuring they receive the compensation they deserve. Mr. Pluta has appeared in roughly 1,500 hearings and trials before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board, bringing his extensive knowledge and experience to each case.
