Rachel Gillan

I am a family law attorney at Johnson Law Firm, dedicated to providing compassionate advocacy, clear communication, and support to clients navigating some of life’s most personal legal challenges. Before becoming an attorney, I gained nearly two years of experience as a paralegal, which gave me a strong foundation in family law procedures and a focus on putting clients first. Originally from Boise, Idaho, I recently moved with my family to the Spokane Valley area and am thrilled to be part of the Johnson Law Firm team. My legal career has been diverse, including work in family law, complex civil litigation, estate planning, and business transactions. Prior to joining the firm, I spent a year and a half with the State of Idaho Public Defender’s Office, where I defended clients in misdemeanor and felony cases, gained valuable courtroom experience, and achieved favorable jury trial results. I earned my bachelor’s degree in communications in 2016 and completed my Juris Doctor at the University of Idaho College of Law in 2022. During law school, I clerked for the Honorable Michael Reardon and gained hands-on experience in complex litigation and estate planning. I also served as the Community Outreach Specialist for the Real Estate and Land Use Club. I am licensed to practice law in Idaho, allowing me to assist clients with regional or cross-border legal matters. I am committed to offering every client transparency, respect, and thoughtful guidance during what can be an emotional and challenging time. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter. In my quieter moments, I love reading, drawing, or painting.
