John Pcolinski is the founder of John Pcolinski Law, P.C., where he focuses his practice on commercial and civil litigation, chancery matters, mediation, appellate law, and general business issues. For nearly 40 years, he has provided legal counsel to individuals and businesses throughout DuPage County and the surrounding legal community. His approach is practical, hands-on, and centered on helping clients pursue reasonable results as efficiently as possible. John represents clients in business disputes, commercial transactions, governance matters, trade secret claims, non-competition issues, injunctions, and other chancery cases. He also assists individuals with probate, guardianship, real estate, and related civil matters. Since 1990, he has served as a certified Arbitrator for the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit, and he regularly acts as a mediator and arbitrator in a wide range of disputes. John has consistently received an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, Inc., its highest rating for legal ability, ethical standards, professional reliability, and diligence. He has also been recognized by Avvo as a “Top Attorney.” A longtime member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the DuPage County Bar Association, John has served multiple terms in the ISBA Assembly and more than 20 years on the DCBA Board. His DCBA roles have included General Counsel, Director, Editor in Chief of the DCBA Brief, and committee chair. He received the DCBA’s highest honor, “Lawyer of the Year,” in recognition of his service to the profession and the local legal community. John also served on the Illinois Supreme Court Committee on Character and Fitness from 2006 to 2014 and chaired the committee from 2016 to 2024. From 1987 to 2012, he served as an adjunct professor at North Central College in Naperville, his alma mater.
