Jacquelyn "Jacqui" Ford

I am a proud Oklahoman, born and raised in Oklahoma City. I graduated magna cum laude from Oklahoma State University in 2002 with a degree in Business Administration and Marketing while working full time in sales and marketing. I then earned my law degree with distinction from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2006. As a law student, I worked in the OU Legal Clinic defending people accused of crimes. That experience sparked my lifelong commitment to criminal defense. I was honored with the Kelly Beardslee Criminal Defense Award for excellence in pro bono representation. After passing the bar, I served as an Oklahoma County Public Defender for more than five years, representing over 3,000 people facing felony charges. My peers recognized my dedication with the Clarence Darrow Award for excellence in trial advocacy. In 2011, I opened my own law firm to continue defending people whose rights and futures are at risk. I believe no one should face the system alone, and my team and I fight every day to protect our clients with strength and compassion. Beyond the courtroom, I serve as a teacher and leader in the legal community. I present continuing legal education for the Oklahoma Bar Association and the Oklahoma Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and I am proud to serve on its Board of Directors. In 2013, I graduated from the Trial Lawyers College and later joined its faculty, training lawyers across the country in advanced trial skills. I became a lawyer because I refuse to accept abuses of power. My clients know that I will stand by them and fight tirelessly on their behalf.
