Irina Zarahi Barahona

I am a member of the State Bar of Texas and the State Bar of New Mexico, licensed to practice law in both states. I earned my undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Rochester. Later, I received a scholarship to attend law school and was honored as a Schomburg Fellow. I pursued my legal education at the State University of New York Buffalo Law School and continued my studies at Southern Methodist University, where I obtained an LLM in Taxation from the Dedman School of Law. My focus during this time was on advanced corporate and partnership taxation. During law school, I gained valuable experience working as a summer associate at Woods, Oviatt, Gilman LLP and as a summer clerk for the Hon. Kathleen Cardone in the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas. After completing my education, I worked as an associate at Ryan & Sanders, LLP and Kemp Smith LLP before establishing my own solo private practice. I have experience handling complex business transactions and working with high-net-worth individuals. In addition, I provide comprehensive legal services in Spanish and frequently represent Mexican nationals and bi-national clients with ties in both the United States and Mexico.
