I represent companies and individuals in bankruptcy, financial restructurings, workouts, foreclosures, and collection matters, both in Texas and across the United States. With fifteen years of experience gained at an international law firm, I now focus on assisting my clients with their legal needs. I advise secured and unsecured creditors on all aspects of bankruptcy cases. This includes handling lift-stay and adequate-protection motions, filing proofs of claim, navigating cash-collateral disputes, working through valuation proceedings, addressing avoidance actions, and preparing disclosure statements and plans of reorganization. I also assist with discovery and dispositive motions in bankruptcy litigation. Additionally, I counsel corporate debtors during reorganization efforts and help trustees with asset recovery and liquidation strategies, including Section 363 sales and other court-approved transactions. I have represented private equity entities purchasing bankruptcy estate assets through Section 363 sales. I have significant experience representing lenders and equipment lessors in bankruptcy filings and out-of-court workouts, focusing on protecting and preserving collateral. My work includes advising on and conducting UCC Article 9 sales of inventory and equipment, securing adequate-protection payments, and obtaining relief from the automatic stay to repossess and liquidate collateral. I also assist international manufacturers in corporate bankruptcies by protecting inventory, asserting claims, and negotiating favorable plan treatments, and I have achieved full claim payments in Section 363 sales. In addition, I maintain a comprehensive bankruptcy litigation practice, which encompasses avoidance actions and representing or defending former directors and officers of corporate entities seeking bankruptcy protection.
