Leelah Hatcher

A Southern California native, Leelah earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, where she built a strong academic and practical foundation in advocacy, legal writing, and ethical practice. During law school, Leelah served as a student-attorney with the Post-Conviction Justice Project, gaining meaningful experience working directly with clients and navigating challenging legal issues. This role deepened her appreciation for careful preparation, clear communication, and compassionate advocacy. Leelah also remained actively involved in leadership and professional organizations, where she worked alongside peers to foster community, mentorship, and inclusion. Her involvement reflects a belief that strong legal advocacy is rooted in collaboration and respect.
