Alex Ruiz

Alex E. Ruiz is a dedicated Family Law attorney with a Juris Doctor from Chapman University Fowler School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Business & Society from La Sierra University. Throughout law school and beyond, Alex demonstrated his commitment to assisting others. He interned at Self Help Centers in Santa Ana and Norwalk, leading workshops for self-represented litigants. He also served as a Law Clerk in the Family Protection Unit of the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, supporting the prosecution of domestic violence cases. As a State Bar Certified Law Student at the Bette & Wylie Aitken Family Protection Clinic, Alex represented a domestic abuse survivor in court, earning the CALI Award for the Highest Grade in the Family Protection Clinic – Protective Orders. Since 2018, Alex has been a Law Clerk at an Orange County Family Law firm, concurrently pursuing and obtaining admission to the California State Bar in December 2018. He remains dedicated to assisting those with family legal matters in Southern California. As a child of divorce, Alex empathizes with the complex emotions clients undergo, utilizing his personal experience and expertise to better serve each client. Beyond his legal pursuits, Alex enjoys reading, video games, and quality time with his wife and their two dogs.
