Matthew Hollingsworth

Matthew J. Hollingsworth is the founding partner and lead trial attorney at Hollingsworth Injury Law in Atlanta, Georgia. Matthew focuses on helping people injured as result of the negligence of others. He has experience working with Georgia courts in civil litigation matters including automobile accidents, motorcycle accidents, medical malpractice, slip and fall, premises liability, dog bites, and other catastrophic injury matters. He received his undergraduate degree in Economics at the University of Georgia and his Juris Doctorate at The Pennsylvania State Dickinson School of Law. Prior to the practice of law, Matthew gained extensive knowledge of the Atlanta legal market as a consultant focusing on direct hire legal staff placements. Matthew has experience in all stages of litigation, including pre-suit investigations, discovery, depositions, motions practice, settlement and mediation, and trial. At his previous law firm, Matthew represented both plaintiffs and national insurance companies, teaching him the ins and outs of the insurance industry’s handling of claims. This background has prepared him with the ability to fight aggressively and strategically for accident victims and their families. Matthew is licensed to practice law in the state of Georgia and is a member of the Bar of the Court of Appeals of Georgia. Matthew is a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and of the Atlanta Bar Association, and serves as a member-at-large on the Board of Directors for the Atlanta Council of Younger Lawyers; he is also a member of the Dispute Resolution and Litigation sections of the Atlanta Bar. Additionally, Matthew serves as a member of the Georgia Bar YLD Litigation Committee, YLD Legislative Affairs Committee, and YLD Community Service Projects Committee.
