Rebecca McLaughlin Haines

Rebecca McLaughlin Haines helps clients navigate complex legal matters with clarity, strategy, and a client-focused approach. She focuses her practice on commercial litigation, business matters, real estate litigation, general civil litigation, and appeals. A lifelong metro Detroit resident, Rebecca is a graduate of Cranbrook Kingswood and Kalamazoo College, where she earned her degree in Business and Spanish and studied abroad in Spain. She received her law degree from Wayne State University Law School, where she served as a Senior Articles Editor for the Wayne Law Review and worked with the Free Legal Aid Clinic, assisting low-income individuals and survivors of domestic violence. Rebecca is a Member of the State Bar of Michigan and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. Prior to joining Head Murphy Law, she was a partner at an insurance defense firm, where she gained extensive litigation experience handling no-fault and bodily injury cases and achieving successful results at trial. Her work has earned her recognition as a Michigan Super Lawyers Rising Star (2022–2026), DBusiness Top Lawyer, and Best Lawyers “Ones to Watch” for Commercial Litigation (2025). Outside the office, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her family, doting on her dog, and quoting her favorite movies.
