I have been defending individuals in Massachusetts for nearly 30 years. Throughout my career, I have represented clients in District and Superior Courts, the Massachusetts Court of Appeals, the Supreme Judicial Court, Federal Court, and the Federal First Circuit Court of Appeals. I have taken on serious cases involving charges such as homicide, vehicular homicide, rape, and DUI/OUI, earning a reputation for relentless advocacy. My commitment to criminal defense is deeply tied to my personal journey. In 2001, I overcame my own battle with alcohol addiction, an experience that gave me a deeper understanding of the fears and uncertainties my clients often face. This journey has shaped my approach, allowing me to connect with my clients on a personal level and offer empathetic, client-centered representation. In my practice, I take a comprehensive and trauma-informed approach. I address not only the legal challenges my clients face but also underlying issues such as substance abuse and mental health. My team and I work to view each client as a whole person, providing emotional support during some of their most difficult times. By doing so, we aim to help clients navigate their cases while also making meaningful, positive changes in their lives. In the courtroom, I am a strategic and determined advocate, committed to achieving favorable outcomes even in the most challenging cases. My dedication goes beyond legal representation; I guide my clients through the complexities of the legal process, providing straightforward advice and steadfast support every step of the way. As a Massachusetts native, I graduated from Middlebury College and Washington and Lee University School of Law. I returned to my home state with a mission to defend the rights of everyday people, firmly believing that everyone deserves a strong defense against the power of the government.
