Leah A Johnson

Leah Johnson is a seasoned personal injury attorney with a deep commitment to guiding clients through the complexities of the legal system and the often daunting world of insurance claims, all with the aim of securing the best possible outcome for them. With more than 20 years of experience, Leah has a rich background in the legal field, including numerous trials and appeals, over a hundred arbitrations and mediations, and countless depositions. Her expertise spans various personal injury cases, such as auto, motorcycle, and bicycle accidents, as well as incidents involving unsafe conditions like slippery floors or poorly designed roads, and pedestrian accidents. Leah excels in negotiating with insurance adjusters, deciphering insurance policies, and ensuring her clients receive the maximum compensation they deserve. At Gilroy Napoli Short, her primary focus remains on personal injury law. Leah also brings substantial experience in criminal law. She has served as a Deputy District Attorney in Marion County and, in private practice, has defended individuals facing charges of DUII, theft, and assault. Her commitment to justice extends to her volunteer work, where she has supported victims of domestic violence through Legal Aid and served as a victim’s assistance advocate with the Multnomah County District Attorney’s office. Leah began her legal career in 1997. Before becoming a senior associate at her current firm in 2017, she was a partner at Ravelo, Johnson, & Nguyen, and a prosecutor in Marion County. Educationally, Leah earned her degrees from the University of Washington and Willamette University College of Law. Outside of her legal career, she is actively involved in her community, serving on the Board of the Wilson Youth Football program. Leah enjoys life with her husband, three children, and a lively household of pets.
