About
Before joining Gilroy Napoli Short, Amanda served as a Deputy District Attorney at the Washington County District Attorney’s Office for several years, where she gained substantial trial experience in prosecuting both person and property crimes. She then relocated to the U.S. Virgin Islands, where she was admitted to the Virgin Islands Bar Association and served as General Counsel for an investment company with interests in both the territory and Ireland. More recently, Amanda focused on investor relations for a commercial-stage, global biotechnology company headquartered in Switzerland. Her extensive experience across various legal fields, particularly her passion for criminal law, provides significant value to her clients as she navigates them through the criminal justice system, striving for the best possible outcomes. Amanda earned her Juris Doctorate from Lewis & Clark Law School and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Criminology from Southern Oregon University. She also volunteered with the Victim’s Assistance Program at the Jackson County District Attorney’s Office and the Family Law Assistance Program in Washington County. Outside of work, Amanda enjoys traveling with her daughter and husband. She loves hiking, camping, and exploring new destinations in the Caribbean and Central America.
