Jaclyn Kramer

Jaclyn Kramer is a dedicated elder law and estate planning attorney and Partner at Futterman Lanza, LLP in Smithtown, New York. Since joining the firm in 2013, Ms. Kramer has focused her practice exclusively on helping individuals and families plan for the future, protect their assets, and navigate complex long-term care and Medicaid issues. Ms. Kramer represents clients in a wide range of matters, including estate planning, Medicaid asset protection planning, community and nursing home Medicaid applications, special needs planning, probate, and estate administration. She is known for providing compassionate, client-centered guidance and offers flexible meeting options, including home visits, to ensure accessibility for all clients. She earned her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School, where she served as a student director in the Special Education Law Clinic and competed in the Civil Rights/Civil Liberties Moot Court. Ms. Kramer also graduated magna cum laude from the University of Michigan with a degree in Political Science, where she was a member of the women’s gymnastics team and contributed to four Big Ten Championship titles. Admitted to practice in New York since 2014, Ms. Kramer is an active member of the New York State Bar Association and the Suffolk County Bar Association’s Elder Law and Estate Planning Committee. Ms. Kramer has been recognized for her professional excellence, including selection as a Super Lawyers Rising Star multiple years—an honor awarded to a small percentage of attorneys in the region. She has also received accolades, including Long Island Business News’ Top 50 Women in Business, and recognition in regional “Best of Long Island” nominations.
