Jon Furgison

Mr. Furgison is the founding member of Furgison Law Group, PC, and a trial lawyer with over a quarter century of experience in securities litigation, FINRA arbitration, and California financial elder abuse cases. He represents individual investors, retirees, and institutions in claims against brokerage firms, financial advisors, and the securities industry. Mr. Furgison has litigated hundreds of arbitration cases before FINRA (formerly NASD), NYSE, and AAA throughout the country involving the full range of securities products offered to the public. He has also represented clients in state and federal courts in California and nationwide, in business and professional liability disputes including complex litigation involving fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, and professional negligence. Before founding the firm, Mr. Furgison was a senior trial attorney for a Los Angeles defense firm that represented brokerage firms, broker-dealers, registered investment advisers, insurance companies, and other fiduciaries. He defended clients at trial and arbitration hearings, and argued before the California Court of Appeal, where he obtained a published decision on issues affecting the securities industry. Mr. Furgison now exclusively represents plaintiffs and uses his knowledge of how the industry operates to hold financial professionals accountable to investors. Mr. Furgison serves on the Board of Directors of the Public Investors Advocate Bar Association (PIABA) and has been a PIABA member for 20 years. He is also a member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA) and is a frequent speaker on securities arbitration and investor protection. Mr. Furgison holds an AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, has a perfect 10.0 rating from Avvo, and has been selected as a Super Lawyer from 2017 through the present.
