Matthew D Sosonkin

Matthew D. Sosonkin, Esq. is a Partner and Managing Attorney of the Workers’ Compensation Division at RTRLAW. He is an experienced Florida attorney who represents clients in workers’ compensation, personal injury, and medical malpractice matters. Mr. Sosonkin has extensive knowledge of the workers’ compensation system, civil litigation, and the insurance defense industry. Before joining RTRLAW, he gained valuable experience working with multiple insurance defense firms in Florida, where he developed a strong understanding of how insurance companies evaluate, defend, and resolve claims. Throughout his career, Mr. Sosonkin has represented clients across Florida in county and circuit courts, as well as before Judges of Compensation Claims. His practice has included a wide range of matters, from workers’ compensation and medical malpractice claims to automobile negligence cases. Mr. Sosonkin’s background representing insurance companies gives him a valuable perspective when advocating for injured workers. He uses that insight to help clients pursue benefits aggressively and efficiently, from the initial Petition for Benefits through a Final Merits Hearing when necessary. Before joining RTRLAW, Mr. Sosonkin also worked with a large South Florida firm representing injured workers whose benefits had been denied by insurance carriers and their counsel. Mr. Sosonkin earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Delaware in 1994. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law, graduating cum laude in 1997. He resides in South Florida and works out of RTRLAW’s Fort Lauderdale office, representing clients throughout Florida.
