Cherie Fine

Cherie Fine was raised in DeLand, Florida, Cherie is a proud Gator alumna who first studied art at the University of Florida before graduating with honors from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. She practiced with Watson, Folds, Steadham, Sproull, Christmann & Brashear, P.A., and served as Assistant Director of Legal Research & Writing at UF Law. She received the Recognition of Service Award from the Legal Panel of the ACLU of Florida. From 1993 to 1998, Cherie built her reputation in criminal defense law and served as president of the Eighth Judicial Circuit Chapter of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. She joined Fine, Farkash & Parlapiano, P.A. in 2003 and became a partner in 2008. In addition to representing her own clients, she handles the firm’s operations and proudly represents the firm at professional and community events. In 2014, she represented the University of Florida’s College of Fine Arts at National Arts Advocacy Day in Washington, D.C., the nation’s largest gathering of arts advocates. She was a founding member of the Eighth Judicial Circuit Child Advocacy Center. She is a past president of the Friends of Music at the University of Florida and a former vice president of the Alachua County Humane Society. She continues to serve on these boards. Today, her practice is focused on personal injury law, where she advocates for individuals and families with the same dedication that has defined her career. Ms. Fine is a board member and has served as President of the Eighth Judicial Circuit Bar Association. Her commitment to professionalism and service has been recognized with the James L. Tomlinson Professionalism Award, the Eighth Judicial Circuit Bar Association's highest honor. She is an active member of The Gerald T. Bennet American Inn of Court and currently serves as Vice President of The James C. Adkins, Jr. American Inn of Court. Cherie also enjoys hosting a social media series, “Baking the Law".
