About

I am Marshall Waller, a director and principal shareholder at Feinberg & Waller. I hold the designation of California Certified Family Law Specialist (CFLS) and have spent decades handling high-stakes divorce, custody, support, and complex property cases. I am a Fellow of both the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML) and the International Academy of Family Lawyers (IAFL), prestigious organizations that accept only the most respected leaders in family law. Additionally, I am a Life Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, an honor bestowed upon only 1% of U.S. attorneys in recognition of exemplary service to the profession and community. I am recognized for my courtroom prowess and strategic advocacy. I have an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell and have been named a Super Lawyer for multiple years, including ranking among the Top 100 Lawyers in Southern California. I also hold a “Superb 10” rating from Avvo. As a legal educator and author, I wrote "Essentials of California Family Law," a study guide for specialist candidates, and a law school textbook in the area of California Family Law, published by Aspen Publishers. I have served as a law professor, teaching family law at the university level, and have been a Continuing Education of the Bar (CEB) speaker for the Regents of the University of California. Our office is a full-service family law firm addressing all areas related to termination of marriage, division of property, financial issues, support, attorney’s fees, and custody. My personal practice centers around high-conflict finances and custody, Hague Convention cases, child abduction, support, and interstate jurisdiction. I earned my B.A. with highest honors from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, my J.D. from Loyola Law School, and pursued postgraduate tax studies at USC and USD. I remain actively involved in numerous bar associations and volunteer as a mock trial coach for Teach Democracy, formerly known as Constitutional Rights Foundation.
