Jessica Marie Zorn

Jessica Zorn is a trial attorney at Farris, Riley & Pitt with deep experience handling personal injury, medical malpractice, and wrongful death cases across state, federal, and appellate courts. Known for her relentless advocacy and compassion for her clients, Jessica has earned recognition throughout her career, including being named a Rising Star Attorney by Birmingham Magazine (2017) and listed among B-Metro Magazine’s Top Women Attorneys (2018) and Top Flight Attorneys (2020). Originally from Michigan and Pennsylvania, Jessica became an adopted Southerner in 2010 when she joined her family in Birmingham, Alabama. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh, where she studied economics, philosophy, and religious studies — with a semester abroad in Turin, Italy, studying Italian cuisine and culture. Her travels and diverse experiences shaped her ability to connect with people from all walks of life — a trait that continues to define her approach to client representation. Before attending law school, Jessica worked at a boutique investment firm managing brokerage accounts. She later earned her J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law on academic scholarship. While there, she competed on the John A. Campbell Moot Court Board and represented her school on the Conrad B. Duberstein Bankruptcy Moot Court Team, competing in Miami and New York. Jessica first joined Farris, Riley & Pitt as a law clerk in 2014 before becoming a full-time attorney. Today, she works alongside senior partner Kirby Farris, litigating complex injury, malpractice, and wrongful death cases on behalf of clients across Alabama. Outside the courtroom, Jessica is deeply involved in the Birmingham community. She volunteers with the Alabama Association for Justice and serves on the Young Leadership Committee for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. She also sits on the Executive Board of East Lake Community Development, Inc., helping provide affordable senior housing.
