James V. Sansone

I am James V. Sansone, the Managing Attorney at Family Law Complex Litigation Advocacy PLLC in Seattle. With over two decades of experience, I represent clients in family, civil, and employment law cases throughout Washington and California. My practice focuses on complex family law matters, including high-asset divorces, cross-border custody disputes, and cases involving serious allegations of abuse or mental health concerns. I lead a dedicated team committed to achieving results in challenging legal situations. Throughout my career, I have handled and managed more than a thousand evidentiary hearings and trials. I am often called upon to serve as co-counsel or litigation consultant for attorneys managing volatile or document-heavy cases that require advanced advocacy and strategic planning. My approach is rooted in precision, courtroom skill, and maintaining composure under pressure. Before establishing Family Law Complex Litigation Advocacy, I built successful civil and commercial litigation practices in California. I also served as a Judge Pro Tem for the Sonoma County Superior Court and shared my knowledge as an Adjunct Professor, teaching law and business courses at Santa Rosa Junior College and Empire College School of Law. I am licensed to practice law in Washington and California, as well as in the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Central Districts of California and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
