He has argued cases before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Montana Supreme Court. Philip is licensed to practice law in Montana and Alaska. Philip is a graduate of the University of Montana School of Law. He received his undergraduate degree from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. While attending the University of Montana law school, Philip was a member of the National Moot Court Team, he clerked for United States Magistrate Judge Leif Erickson, and also taught first year law students legal research and legal writing.
