Scott is an intellectual property lawyer and registered patent attorney. Scott was trained at one of the nation’s top intellectual property law firms. Prior to Eastgate IP, Scott practiced intellectual property law as a patent attorney at Knobbe Martens, managing portfolios of intellectual property, prosecuting patent applications, and conducting due diligence for companies of all sizes – including Fortune 500 companies, start-ups, and independent inventors. Scott has prosecuted patents across a wide range of technologies including software, mechanical devices, medical devices, cosmetics, food & beverage, and biotechnology. Scott has extensive experience preparing infringement opinions and conducting validity analyses of competitor portfolios.
