About
I serve as a team lead for the firm's Banking and Finance industry group. For nearly 20 years, I’ve represented banks and other financial institutions in a wide array of litigation matters. I’ve appeared before federal and state courts across the country and have built a strong track record of success in the courtroom. Beyond litigation, I’ve resolved hundreds of cases outside of court by taking a practical, problem-solving approach that prioritizes my clients' goals. My work is informed by years of experience collaborating closely with the former general counsel and head of litigation of a major publicly traded bank, which has helped me manage client risks and deliver pragmatic, business-oriented solutions. My experience includes handling matters related to: - Article 3, 4, and 4A of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) - Lender liability claims - Internal investigations - The Bank Secrecy Act and related regulations - Asset recovery and loan defaults - Levy, garnishment, and execution - Real estate/bank branches and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) As someone who is deaf, I’m committed to advocating for inclusion and accessibility. I serve on the board of the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD), where I chair the Governance Committee. Within the firm, I’m a member of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee and mentor associates with disabilities or from underrepresented backgrounds. I earned my law degree cum laude from the George Washington University Law School in 2003, where I served as the notes editor for the *Public Contracts Journal*. I also graduated magna cum laude from Boston College and was honored with election to Phi Beta Kappa.
