Eric W. Ruth

Eric Ruth is an estate planning attorney at Rutkowski Law Firm. He did not come to estate planning through a love of trusts and tax codes. Eric came through the trenches, spending years as a probate litigator watching families fight over plans that should have protected them. Now he channels it into building plans that actually hold up when it matters most. Eric earned his Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Before joining Rutkowski Law Firm, he spent his entire career in litigation representing families in some of the most contentious, high-stakes disputes an estate or trust could face. That background gives him a perspective most estate planning attorneys simply don't have: he's seen what breaks, and he builds accordingly. Outside the office, Eric is a husband, a dad to a young son. In his spare time he enjoys being outside with family, coaching baseball, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, golf, and writing fiction.
