Deandra M Grant

I am Deandra Grant, the Managing Partner at Deandra Grant Law - Criminal & DWI Defense. I hold degrees from Trinity University in San Antonio and SMU Dedman School of Law. In 2016 I completed a Masters degree in Pharmaceutical Science and a Graduate Certificate in Forensic Science from the University of Florida. In 2019, I joined the faculty at Axion Analytical Labs as an Assistant Chromatography Instructor for the American Chemical Society. I also serve on the faculty of the Borkenstein Drug Course. I am nationally recognized as a speaker on DWI law and science and author of the annually updated "The Texas DWI Manual" as well as 18 other law books available on Amazon. I am a Standardized Field Sobriety Testing Instructor and have completed the Drug Recognition Overview course. My training includes coursework in DWI forensic blood and urine testing, and I am trained as an operator and maintenance technician of the Intoxilyzer 5000. I have received certificates in Forensic Chromatography: Theory & Practice (2011 & 2015), Forensic Analysis of Solid Drugs (2014), and Forensic Principles of DUID (2015) from Axion Labs and the American Chemical Society. In 2015, I was honored with the title of ACS-CHAL Forensic Lawyer-Scientist. My professional memberships include the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, where I served on the Board from 2011 to 2016, the Dallas Bar Association, the Collin County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and the Dallas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, where I have been a Board Member since 2007. I am also a Charter Member and President-Emeritus of the DUI Defense Lawyers Association, and a member of the American Chemical Society and the American Academy of Forensic Sciences. D Magazine has recognized me among the Best Lawyers in Dallas since 2010. I've been named to “Super Lawyers” since 2011 and to Best Lawyers in America . Best Lawyers in Dallas also recognized me as one of the Top 10 DWI Lawyers in Dallas.
