David Stuart Toback

David S. Toback is a Tampa-area lawyer with offices in Tampa and St. Petersburg who concentrates his practice in the areas of estate planning and probate, with an emphasis on tax planning, asset protection and business succession planning. Mr. Toback also helps his clients with business entity formation and commercial transactions, tax preparation matters and the resolution of tax controversies. His entire legal career has been focused on estate planning and tax matters for individuals and businesses. David Toback obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of South Florida in 1994, graduating magna cum laude. He then earned his juris doctor law degree in 1997 from Washington & Lee University School of Law, where he graduated cum laude. In 2008, Mr. Toback earned the designation of Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) from The American College for Financial Planning, demonstrating expertise in estate planning based on the passage of extensive coursework and rigorous examinations. After five years with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Mr. Toback entered private practice with a boutique tax law firm in Tampa, focusing on trusts and estates for high net worth individuals, tax law and business law. Mr. Toback practiced with the firm for almost ten years before establishing his own law office in Tampa. David Toback is a member of the Tampa Bay Estate Planning Council, an interdisciplinary organization for lawyers, accountants, financial planners and other professionals involved in estate planning. He is an active member of The Florida Bar and participates in the Bar’s sections on Tax Law; Business Law; and Real Property, Probate and Trust Law.
