About
With over three decades of legal experience, my practice encompasses estate planning, wills and trusts, elder law, special needs planning, planning for disability, asset protection planning, Medicaid planning, trust and estate administration (probate), fiduciary litigation, guardianship, and health care and financial planning with advance directives. My dedication to delivering exceptional legal services and understanding intricate legal matters forms the foundation of my work, helping clients navigate important life decisions and safeguard their futures with confidence. I am certified as an elder law attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation and have previously chaired the Florida Bar Elder Law Section. Currently, I serve on the board of trustees of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) Foundation. In 2006, I received the Outstanding Achievement Award from the New York Chapter of NAELA for co-chairing a Special Committee on Medicaid Legislation, which was established by the NYSBA Elder Law Section to challenge restrictive Medicaid eligibility provisions in Governor George Pataki’s budget bills. These provisions, if passed, would have had a significant impact on frail elderly and disabled individuals. In 2010, I was honored as Member of the Year by the Florida Bar Elder Law Section for my efforts in securing Medicaid approval for the use of promissory notes in Medicaid planning in Florida. Additionally, I was recognized for my role as co-chair of the NYSBA Elder Law Section Compact Working Group, which gained national attention for developing innovative approaches to long-term care financing.
