About
Natalia A. Ogurkiewicz is the founder of Corvus Legal, LLC, a boutique litigation practice dedicated to constitutional criminal defense, appeals, post conviction litigation, habeas corpus, and related civil rights matters. Her practice focuses on cases where constitutional violations, procedural barriers, or systemic failures intersect with the criminal justice system and serious felony defense. Natalia represents individuals facing complex legal challenges at every stage of litigation, including trial, appeal, and collateral review. She also handles civil rights cases arising from criminal justice system and police misconduct or institutional failures. He work is driven by a longstanding commitment to criminal justice reform and ensuring that the Constitution functions as a meaningful safeguard rather than theoretical promise. Before founding Corvus Legal, Natalia served as a prosecutor in St. Louis, Missouri, and as private defense counsel in Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana where she prosecuted and defended scores of felony cases at all levels, including as lead attorney on her violent crime and homicide caseload. Her experience as a practicing attorney and as a whistleblower gave her firsthand insight into how the system creates narratives through allegations and press, and how the criminal justice system works on both sides. That perspective now informs her work as a defense attorney and civil rights advocate. Natalia's career has been shapes by a deep interest in constitutional and systemic accountability. She has handled hundreds of criminal matters throughout her career and has developed a particular focus on cases involving serious charges, complex issues, appeals and post-conviction remedies, and wrongful convictions.
