About
I am Joseph A. Connell Sr., a first-generation American of West Indian descent, born and raised in New York. I earned my Juris Doctor degree from the City University School of Law and hold a Ph.D. in counseling psychology. I am admitted to practice law before the United States Supreme Court, and in the state of New Jersey and the District of Columbia, the Federal Courts of New York and New Jersey, the District of Columbia, and the Executive Office of Immigration Review and the Board of Immigration Appeals. I am proud to be a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the Christian Legal Society. As an Adjunct College Professor, I have had the privilege of teaching at the graduate level and leading numerous seminars and training programs on various immigration topics. With over a decade of legal experience, I have been invited to speak on immigration issues on both television and radio. My teaching and presentations have covered areas such as family-based immigration, employment and religious worker immigration, and removal (deportation) defense. I have also had the opportunity to lecture at several universities on immigration law and biomedical ethics at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Furthermore, I have conducted seminars for Fortune 500 companies, focusing on non-immigrant worker (I-9) audits and governmental enforcement actions.
