About
Trey Collier brings a rare and powerful advantage to every workers' compensation case he handles — he's fought from both sides of the courtroom. Early in his career, Trey worked for a large defense firm representing employers and insurance companies in workers' compensation matters. It didn't take long for him to realize his true calling was advocating for injured workers, not defending the corporations working against them. But that experience on the other side left him with something most attorneys simply don't have: an inside understanding of how employers and insurance carriers think, what strategies they employ, and what they're ultimately trying to achieve. Today, Trey turns that knowledge against them. Whether negotiating a settlement or arguing before a tribunal, Trey approaches every case with the kind of informed, strategic insight that can only come from having stood in the opposition's shoes. His clients don't just get an attorney who understands workers' compensation law — they get one who understands the other side's playbook. Trey has appeared before the Deputy Commissioners of the North Carolina Industrial Commission, the Full Commission, the North Carolina Court of Appeals, and the North Carolina District and Superior Courts. He is also a recognized voice in his field, having spoken on a wide range of workers' compensation topics throughout North Carolina. A proud native of Salisbury, NC, Trey earned a double major in History and Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and went on to receive his Juris Doctorate from Campbell University School of Law.
