I actively represent lawyers and serve as outside General Counsel for small and mid-sized law firms across the United States. I also take on the role of General Counsel for our firm. My work includes defending industry professionals in a variety of professional liability, ethics, and disciplinary matters. I focus on creating straightforward risk management systems, aiming to protect my clients proactively before issues arise. On social media, I engage with an audience of over 30,000 followers, producing content to address ethics and malpractice concerns. My publications include a weekly newsletter on these topics, a monthly law firm risk management newsletter, and a daily blog called "Point One: A Bite of Ethics a Day Keeps Legal Malpractice Claims Away." I also manage the world’s only ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct-based meme page, "The Model-Rule-Meme-A-Day." As someone who values both learning and teaching, I deliver dozens of Continuing Legal Education courses each year, covering a range of topics related to law firm risk management and ethics. With 15 years of large firm experience, I represent clients in professional liability cases involving lawyers, law firms, and other professionals. Additionally, I provide outside General Counsel services to many small and mid-sized law firms.
