Awards and Peer Recognition The Broward County Bar Association honored Sam Coffey with the the Joseph C. Carter Professionalism Award in 2013, an award annually presented to one lawyer who has exemplified the highest ideals of professionalism in law practice and in life. Sam Coffey has lectured nationally on the issue of traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury to industry leaders, insurance company executives, and judges. Sam Coffey also presents on evidence, law office technology, paperless law office strategy, focus groups, and the power of persuasion in the courtroom and beyond. Experienced and Tenacious Sam gained this experience first as a partner at a prominent insurance defense law firm, where he practiced for a decade, and, later, as a partner at a boutique law firm that focused upon plaintiff-only representation.
