Lauren Lackey

I am an associate attorney in the litigation and probate administration departments at Chepenik Trushin LLP. I was born and raised in Hickory, North Carolina, and earned my degrees in Political Science and American Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2022. I later graduated cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law in 2025. While in law school, I had the opportunity to intern at the United States Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of Florida and the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office. I was also an active member of the Trial Team, the Children and Youth Law Clinic, and the Child Advocacy and Family Law Society. Additionally, I was honored to receive book awards for my performance in Litigation Skills and State and Local Government Policy. During my first summer in law school, I interned with the Honorable Judge Norma Lindsay at Florida’s Third District Court of Appeal, where I gained valuable insight into the administration of justice. The following summer, I clerked at Chepenik Trushin LLP and later joined the firm as an associate attorney after being admitted to the Florida Bar in September 2025.
