Eric A. Checketts

I am an attorney licensed to practice in Arizona, Iowa, and Nebraska, dedicated to helping individuals and families plan for the future with confidence. I focus on making legal services approachable, practical, and affordable, providing personalized guidance tailored to each client’s unique goals and circumstances. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Finance from Brigham Young University–Idaho and my Juris Doctor from the University of Iowa College of Law. During law school, I took on leadership roles, including serving as president of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society, and contributed legal scholarship through publication in the Journal of Corporation Law. My background in both finance and law allows me to offer a comprehensive perspective when assisting clients with long-term planning decisions. A large portion of my practice is devoted to estate planning. I work closely with clients to develop clear, effective plans that protect loved ones, preserve assets, and reduce uncertainty. Whether it’s creating a straightforward will, a comprehensive trust plan, powers of attorney, or addressing complex family or financial situations, I take the time to explain options in plain language so clients feel informed and confident in their decisions.
