Lindsey Chaney

I’m the founder and attorney at Chaney Counsel, where I help individuals and families navigate estate planning, special needs planning, probate, and trust administration with compassion, clarity, and care. My approach is rooted in strong communication, empathy, and building genuine trust with the families I serve — values shaped by my background in corporate human resources and client relations. My passion for this work comes from personal experience supporting loved ones through disability and long-term care planning. Those experiences gave me firsthand insight into the emotional and practical challenges families face and inspired me to help others plan for the future with greater confidence and peace of mind. I earned my law degree from Mitchell Hamline School of Law, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and gained valuable litigation and courtroom experience before focusing my practice on family-centered legal services. Based in Southern California, I proudly serve clients throughout Los Angeles County, Ventura County, and surrounding communities. Through my “Planning with Heart” philosophy, I am committed to helping families protect what matters most with thoughtful legal guidance and genuine care.
