Courtney L. Carter

Courtney is a North Carolina Board Certified Family Law Specialist and has been recognized by Business North Carolina Legal Elite in 2025 and 2026. Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Courtney relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina in 2011, where she met her husband. As a child of divorce, and now a wife and mother to her two children, Courtney has a deep personal understanding of the challenges a family can, and often does, face when going through a divorce or custody dispute. Courtney leans on that experience to help guide her clients through their family law issue, to achieve the best possible results. With over a decade of experience, Courtney has dedicated her practice to the area of family law with a focus on Divorce, Child Custody, Child Support, Equitable Distribution, Alimony, Post Separation Support, Prenuptial Agreements, and Postnuptial Agreements.
