Michelle Canero

Michelle Canero is a founding partner at Canero Fadul Reis Law in Miami, Florida. With more than 19 years in U.S. immigration law, she counsels individuals, families, and businesses on matters ranging from work and investor visas to permanent residency and humanitarian relief. She is licensed in Florida and admitted to the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida. Michelle is widely recognized for her employment-based immigration practice, including one of Florida's most successful Labor Certification (PERM) practices with a 99.5% approval rate. Her experience spans H-1B, TN, L, E, J, O, and P visas, EB-1, EB-2 National Interest Waivers, family petitions, waivers, and humanitarian parole. A graduate of the University of Miami College of Law (J.D., 2006) and Trinity College (B.A., 2003), Michelle brings deep expertise and a personal understanding of the immigration experience, having been born in Venezuela to a multicultural family. She is especially attuned to the needs of clients from Latin America and Spanish-speaking communities. An active AILA member and former Board member of the AILA South Florida Chapter, Michelle presents at CLE programs, chambers of commerce, and academic institutions. She advocates on immigration issues with federal and state agencies and elected representatives.
