Family and relationships are so important to me, and I know they are for you as well. It’s one of the reasons that, after practicing many types of law, I’ve settled into the areas of law that we all will eventually face: end-of-life planning and estate administration. I know these are often difficult topics with challenging decisions for individuals and families, especially for adult children of elderly parents, the terminally ill, or those in nontraditional families. My job is to provide you with clarity on the law and its legal consequences and to support you as we collaborate on finding the best ground plan for your needs and those of your family, however you define it. It is important to me to educate and explain estate planning and probate matters in a way that you can understand. I believe that estate planning is an act of love for the people you leave behind, and my purpose is to do all that I can to help you express your wishes so that they can be legally enforced. I also strive to guide you along in the probate process after a loved one has died with compassion and respect. I like to spend my free time at my home in Candler with my husband, Steve, my daughters, and our hilarious cats, or venturing into town for all the art shows, festivals, restaurants, and unique cultural spots which make Asheville such a wonderful place to live and work.
