Joann Brown Williams

Joann Brown Williams has been litigating for well over a decade. Joann’s “bread-and-butter” is business litigation, including breach of contract, corporate governance, trade secret, non-compete and non-solicit covenants, employment related disputes in the areas of discrimination, harassment and retaliation. Her “chocolate,” however, are claims dealing with First Amendment and defamation. Joann has tried cases throughout Northeast Georgia in both State and Federal Courts and has practiced in State and Federal Courts throughout the country. Joann has been involved in several high profile cases that have been written about in The Los Angeles Times, The National Law Journal, Lawyers Weekly USA, Psychiatric News, TRIAL, The New York Times Magazine, Correctional Mental Health Report, The Verdict Magazine, The Gainesville Times, and The Fulton Daily Report. Most recently, Joann has served as General Counsel for Textile Management Associates, Inc., serving the corporate and litigation needs of AstroTurf; Premier Polymers; Crystal Products; UTGH Equipment; Carpet and Rugs Backings and Supplies; Universal Textile Technologies; SYNLawn; Syntec; and Synthetic Turf Resources among others.
