Thomas Underwood

Growing up in Paducah, Kentucky, Tom knew from childhood that he wanted to be an attorney, a choice that was highly encouraged by his loving parents and six younger siblings. He took the first step toward achieving this goal by attending the University of Kentucky, where he graduated magna cum laude with degrees in history and political science. In 1996, Tom moved to Louisville to attend law school, and immediately fell in love with the city. After passing the bar in 2000, Tom chose to remain in Louisville and has never looked back. Tom has had a varied and comprehensive legal career, representing clients in the areas of business and employment law, real estate transactions, probate, and collections. However, the core of Tom’s business has always been domestic relations. Tom understands the financial and emotional toll that impacts parties to a divorce or custody action, and as a seasoned litigator draws on his 20+ years of legal knowledge, skill and compassion to put together a legal plan designed to accomplish his client’s goals as quickly and cost-effectively as possible.
