About
Bret Lee is the founder of Bret Lee Legal Solutions, where he represents clients facing felony and misdemeanor charges in Virginia and Washington, D.C. He fights tirelessly to protect his clients’ rights and pursue the best possible outcome in cases involving DUI, reckless driving, drug possession, conspiracy, assault, fraud, sexual offenses, and other criminal charges. Bret brings strong litigation and appellate experience to his criminal defense practice. He often uses motions practice to seek early advantages before trial, including motions to suppress evidence, motions for bond, motions for discovery, and other requests for relief in state and federal prosecutions. His advocacy has included appellate brief writing in cases before the U.S. Supreme Court, the Virginia Supreme Court, and the Virginia Court of Appeals. Before entering private practice, Bret served as a federal law clerk for the Honorable Chief Judge Watkins in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Alabama. Bret graduated magna cum laude from George Mason University School of Law, where he served as Managing Editor of the George Mason Law Review and competed on the Moot Court Board. He earned his undergraduate degree from the College of William and Mary. A longtime Virginia resident living in Reston, Bret focuses his practice in Northern Virginia courts, including Fairfax County, Prince William County, Alexandria, Arlington, Loudoun County, and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
